From a hurricane of ribbons and a spasm of clouds, she laughed a slow dream. In it, you met a dragon.
The model in the pictures looks like your twin! Eerily so. And those are just the sort of pictures I want to see of you in your recent shimmery dress. The Naiad dress is very you, but I also think you could totally make something like it if you don't win. So, good luck, but if it doesn't come your way, just get to work. :-)
Oh, the link text is missing an "a" in Naiad - so if anyone else is having trouble getting to the pictures, just add the "a" in your address bar.
Oooh--thanks. I fixed the link. I used the Create a Link function on her site, and didn't check that it was correct. But I know html, ha ha!I do look a little like her, huh? She has better posture. The model is the maker, at least for this frock. But she has a husband to take beauteous pictures of her! There were some cute ones of her on a bike in one of her frocks, too.I don't know if I possess the skill to make that with no pattern--or get a hold of 7 yards of chiffon in a nice color. Hm. Interesting.I'd rather win ;)
I clicked on your blog to check for anything new. Ruth is sitting on my lap. She saw the naiad seamstress/model and cooed, "Aunt ABBY! How pwetty."
Heart=melted.I looked again at the full set of pics on Grosgrain, and I have to admit, that one in the middle where she's crouching does look exactly like me. I think her face looks a little more like Jennifer Love Hewitt's from the front, but that side-on shot is alarming. Maybe she's a cousin.
