Had a fantastic...
no, that's not it...
I mean, dismal 24 hours in which I was repeatedly scared by lightning and tornado sirens, and liberally hid my head in some blankets. Fortunately, Bowling Green did not get smeared like it could have and my sanity and apartment are still intact.

We have really, really got to swap weather. I've been panting after promised thunderstorms in my area for the past few days, but they never quite happen.

And I hate to admit it, especially in case someday my house or a loved one's house gets destroyed, *buuut* I get kind of excited and jolly when I hear weather sirens.

Glad you're okay, by the way. Three chains of tornadoes ripping through would be terrifying. I would be hiding then, too, with Dave and the cats.

The thing about the sirens is, they were all "minor" funnel clouds or potential funnel clouds, no tornadoes, at least as far as I know, and one was actually pre-thunderstorm so where I was, it was just cloudy. The system is much more broad than the old "See a tornado, set off the siren" plan. I realize advance warning is a good thing, but to someone whose psyche is damaged by the sirens, it's not a pretty picture.
